Sean is so fun to work with us as a big bonus during our 13-month build! He is collaborative, and every sub contractor loved working with him and had incredible respect. He didn’t miss a day in getting teams on-site, and respectfully making decisions that weren’t always easy ones. He is amazing to see in action – always so many steps ahead of us – even though we are organized and kind of picky.
We quickly grew to 100% trust Sean and Scofield Homes. They are transparent, honest, caring, and very communicative. We knew what to expect every week and many times received daily reports in writing as to progress with their top-notch online portal they set up for us.
Sean helped us cost-engineer some important elements brilliantly. Only due to his involvement and ideas were we able to off set add-ons we had selected during the build in order to meet our original budget. Scofield Homes fees were worth every penny, and in the end, we believe they saved us money in the overall project.
Post build, we were asked my many people how stressful our build was, and “aren’t you glad it’s over”. They were always surprised to hear us say that we didn’t have a stressful build and that we actually miss Sean and his team! We couldn’t recommend Scofield Homes more highly.”

I hesitate to say that, not because it isn't true, but because I fear that if the word gets out they might not be available when I want to work with them in the future. That would be selfish, however, so I am going to give you the scoop: if you want to work with a construction/contracting company that does beautiful work in a timely manner (as timely as you can be with construction) these are your people....
This brings me to my next point: this company is all about communication....My questions and concerns were always answered in a timely manner. And if they didn't have answers for me, they found them. Most importantly, the work they did for us is beautiful. I worked with Sean once before (he redid my master bathroom) and I knew I wanted to work with him again. This time we were redoing three bathrooms simultaneously (Yikes!). I am thrilled with the results...
And get this: both times I worked with Sean et al, the construction was finished *one day early*. That's right, they quoted me a timeline and both times they finished the day before. How often does that happen when you're remodeling? (Never. The answer is never.)
Now you might be wondering about the cost. Here is my two cents on that: for what they do, Scofield Homes is a fantastic value. Are they the least expensive contractors you're going to interview? Nope. But that's because they are professionals: doing quality work, working with quality craftsmen/tradesmen, and using quality materials. I'm not saying that they are crazy expensive; we had a smaller budget for these bathrooms than we did for our master and Sean totally worked with us (even reining me in when I got a little tile-happy). But I am saying that you get what you pay for: if you want true professionals who will do gorgeous work in a clean and timely manner, you probably won't get that for bargain basement prices."
